2020 - 2024
Beginning around 2020, and peaking especially from 2022 - 2024, the house show scene organized by Purdue student bands was especially active in West Lafayette, concentrated mostly in the Vine St. area and other residential streets branching off of it. Basements, living rooms, and backyards of residential homes were the most common venue, however, the scene briefly gained enough traction to organize Purdue-sanctioned concerts on campus properties such as Fowler Hall, the Purdue Memorial Union, and Slayter Hill.
Instagram accounts such as @scenesfromourscene, @vinestreetproductions, @gr8rloafdiy, and @hannaesthetic.photos followed the scene closely to share photos and promote other upcoming shows.
